Kohanga Reo
0-10 Years

The translation of the words Kōhanga Reo is “language nest,” a term that reflects one of the core objectives of the Kōhanga Reo movement the revitalisation and retention of the Māori language. Kōhanga Reo immerses children in Māori language, values, and cultural practices, creating a nurturing environment where learning is meaningful, natural, and connected to their identity. This approach promotes growth through teaching styles grounded in Māori traditions, ensuring children develop confidence and a strong cultural foundation from an early age.
